Building Community. Supporting Farmers. Championing Local.
August 17th Schedule:
Community Tent: Come see Picture Perfect Queen Anne at the Community Tent to learn about what grows on Queen Anne and have your photo taken with Craig the scarecrow!
Bag and Stroller Check Station presented by David Rice of Edward Jones. David will also be selling some QAFM picnic blankets so you can relax on the lawn and enjoy the music.
Hydration Station presented by Aegis Living of Queen Anne.
Kids' Tent: Roots to Shoots Program begins; sponsored by Re:Design Builders. This week, Bats Northwest will be at the tent (that's right, BATS) talking about how amazing and helpful bats are to our ecosystem.
Event Tent: Seattle Public Utilities' Love Food, Stop Waste Program. 40% of food in the U.S. goes uneaten. SPU’s Love Food, Stop Waste program partners with Seattle residents to help them save money and protect the environment by reducing their food waste. They provide tips and resources to help residents waste less food at home, including information on how to plan meals, where to store foods to stay fresh longer, how to freeze food, what date labels really mean, and where to dispose of your food scraps. They will have a kitchen backdrop (8 feet wide) and Velcro food items for market goers to place food in the kitchen where they think it should be stored. For example, potatoes will last longer if stored away from onions. And vegetables will last longer if stored away from fruits. Market goers will learn the best place to store food to stay fresh longer and receive additional tips on ways to reduce food waste at home.
Market Music: Welcome Sunday Speedtrap back to the market this Thursday. Chris Eric, the man behind Sunday Speedtrap, plays a combination of originals and covers and guarantees a good time.
Roots to Shoots wraps up.
We'll have our 2017 shirts, bags, posters, and NEW-this-year picnic blankets for sale at the Information Tent sponsored by Seattle Face & Skin starting at 3:00pm.

Queen Anne Farmers Market is Seattle’s only independent farmers market. QAFM takes place every Thursday, from June 1 to October 12, 2017, at West Crockett Street and Queen Anne Ave. North from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and features an all-food roster of farmers and other local food producers. QAFM features a dynamic roster of live music, chef demos, and children's activities.
At Queen Anne Farmers Market, we work hard to create a vendor mix that is right for our customers and community. Join us each week to support our vendors, eat local, and nourish yourself and your family with Washington-grown goodness.
We owe a debt of gratitude to our sponsors and donors whose support keeps Queen Anne Farmers Market a strong and vibrant resource for the community.
