SNAP/EBT/Food Stamps/Quest Card
It’s easy to use your SNAP Electronic Transfer Benefits (EBT) to buy fresh, healthy produce and other foods at QAFM. Simply go to our Information Tent, tell the staff how much money you would like to spend, and they will prepare a SNAP voucher for the amount you request. You will then be given QAFM tokens to buy fresh produce and other foods. The tokens never expire, but are not transferable to other farmers markets.
For the USDA’s guide to approved foods, go here. In summary, SNAP benefits can be used to purchase almost anything: fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, poultry, eggs, bakery and dairy products, as well as food-producing seeds and plants. SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase wine or foods meant to be eaten on-site at the market.
